I would like this forum to be much like the camp, in that it is run, maintained, and operated by everyone here.
I have an administrator account, so that means that I can create new categories, change the colors, ban a member, delete posts, etc. HOWEVER Right now I probably won't do alot of that, untill I've had some input.
Option two is also possible, in addition to any more ideas from everyone else. I could take a Moderator status and promote everyone to that level, as well. I certainly trust everyone who attended O.E.L.C. not to destroy the forum when given super internet powers. I think some things, like color changes and new categories would still need to be done through the administrator account, mind you.
Your thoughts?

Makes sense, it wouldn't be fair to have you doing all the work. Bring it on!

I like it.
Like Kim reminded us on Half-Night: "We must use teamwork!"
And awesome job so far, by the way!

Turns out I can make everyone an Administrator, so I will do that now, and I will update new member's status each time I log on here.
Also, you might want to bookmark this board, it isn't the most memorable URL...
[glow=red,2,300]Edit[/glow]Everyone on here is now an administrator.
You can make new members admins as well by:
-Clicking their name to bring you to their profile -Clicking modify profile -Using the dropdown menu for "Member Group" at the bottom and choosing "Administrator"
-You can choose a new Title for youself as well in 'modify profile' if you don't want to be known as "Administrator"
That is all.

Sorry to burst you're bubble Cam, but I don't think it works that easily. I was going to post on the other post about this stuff, but I couldn't.
A few problems I discovered: 1) Maybe its just me, but I do not have an admin button between 'calender' and 'profile' on my taskbar. 2) Obviously, because of this, I cannot perform any of the said tasks.
So, I realize that although I have pointed out this problem, I have no idea how to fix it. As other poeple have already said, maybe you have to decide what powers to give to certain people. Who knows?!
