So, here's what I've got for now. - Everyone on this board is an administrator.
- That means everyone has equal power to change things.
- I.E. Add a new category, post someting on the main news board, etc.
So, I will fill this thread with tutorials on how to administrate things around here. - Cam

First of all, let's make sure we're clear on what a category is. Categories are the things on the front page that well, ... categorize the boards. So, browse back to the main page and you will see that there is a General Category, a Suggestion Category, etc. If you'd like to add one, click the "admin" button from the top menu. From there, click on "Create a new Category" Now, fill in the feilds, and drop down menus. The text boxes and menus are pretty self explanatory, but I'll describe them anyway: - Place this category, and This category: These let you choose where your category will appear on the main page.
i.e. If you wanted to place the category above "Sections" you would fill in Place this category with: "Above" and This Category with "Sections"
- Category Name: Fill in the name of your category.
- ID: Do a short form of your category name here, it will be needed for re-ordering the categories later.
- Everthing under Category Settings Leave these blank, so everyone can enter.

So, browse back to the main page and you will see that there is a "The Couch Center" board, a "Random Ville" Board, etc. If you'd like to add one, click the "admin" button from the top menu. From there, click "Create New Board" Choose which Category it will go under From here, there is a similar page that prompts you to fill in things about the name, position etc. Refer to the last post about categories to figure out what goes in here.

Everyone, upon registering to this forum is put under the "New Member" If you see someone with this status, please promote them to an administrator like so: Ckick their name, and then click "Modify Profile From there, scroll down to the heading: Admin Functions, and select "Administrator" from the Member Group dropdown box. thxkbye -Cam
